I am dedicating this page to my good friend DJ Ron Carson and WSBS Radio. It has been over three years now that this fabulous friendship has formed. I met Ron through Linkedln when he connected with me about doing a radio interview about my book The Unspoken Truth A Memoir and my story! It was such a great success that I was asked back a second time to continue to share my story and my work as a child and mental health advocate. As I was a long time resident of Becket MA, this was home to me, and will always hold a special place in my heart.
As time has moved forward I am now a regular monthly guest on Saturday mornings as a co-host DJ with Ron. Together we rock the airwaves bringing everyone great music of the past, sharing music history and awesome stories. The Radio Express as we are so lovingly called by our fans (Brian Sullivan created the name) is how we chug along!
Ron and I have great radio chemistry together and we are a dynamic duo! I have been proudly dubbed “The Radio Wife”.
I am also proud of my radio showcase “What’s Up with Lisa Z” as I continue to share my work and passion for advocating. As a child & mental health advocate, public speaker and author, I use my title as The MA National Ambassador for Naasca(National Association of Adult Survivors of Child Abuse) and my personal story The Unspoken Truth A Memoir as a platform to speak publicly about child abuse/safety and mental health illness/stigmas.
I am a voice for the voiceless and I am dedicated to bringing change, awareness and kindness!
Please join us monthly as we bring you the savvy side of great music, talk and laughter.
Thank you WSBS Radio for bringing me home, and welcoming me with open arms. WSBS is a beautiful representation of what a close community radio station is all about. Small towns with big hearts and a great love of music. This closeness would not happen if it wasn’t for the great staff!!! The fabulous Trio - Dave Isby, Jesse Stewart and Ron Carson. They are the heart and soul of this station as they reach out to their listeners every single day with passion, pride and purpose. Our country has lost so much personal connection with one another. It is refreshing to see that it is still alive and well in Western Massachusetts!!! Lets Hear It For The Boys — Denise Williams
