Why did I decide to join the competition??? Because 40 isn't fatal and life continues to bring new and wonderful opportunities. If I win the big prize, what would I do with the money? I will use it towards publishing my next book "The Book of Joann", launch my children's series (a big goal/dream) and help to promote awareness for mental health, child safety & suicide prevention.

I will also be able to continue to use my voice for awareness!!! A two page spread in this magazine will help me speak on a larger platform.

We can make changes happen, by breaking the silence, using our voices, and standing strong!

I am a voice for the voiceless, and I will never be silenced again.
