Reflections & Intentions As 2022 Comes To A Close
Every year at this time, I reflect on what the year has offered me in the way of gifts, lessons and disappointments.
Yes disappointments, because as we all know life is not perfect and we all go through our trials and tribulations. It is OK to acknowledge them, because that is what helps us push forward with a new game plan.
I have had a few disappointments this year, and each one has taught me a valuable lesson. These lessons will be carried over into the new year, and I will use them as fuel to seek new directions.
I learned that people are not always who they present themselves as, and old friends are not always your best friends!
I have some self-disappoint because I set a strong goal for myself, and unfortunately, I did not meet it. I wanted my novel “The Book of Joann” to be on the shelves by the end of 2022, and that is not going to happen.
I had many delays and distractions this past year due to health issues, and family situations. As I became quite frustrated with all of the distractions, I have come to realize that “timing is everything”, and that is what I am going to take with me into 2023.
Timing… Sometimes we cannot see the extended view because we are so caught up in our own emotions and thoughts. Time, space and a renewed game plan will offer clarity so that I can see the View!
My intentions for 2023 are first and foremost remaining healthy and working on myself to be the best version of ME that I can be.
I will also focus of making “The Book of Joann” a published book in 2023. I am putting all my energy into pushing it out there, finding a publisher and ultimately sharing my mother’s story for purpose. I will continue to advocate for mental health and child safety.
As for my family, I will always devote my time, energy, and love in their direction because they matter to me the most! I am very luck and blessed to be surrounded by such incredible people, big and small!
What I will NOT do, is to give my time and energy to people who do not appreciate me or what and how I do.
Honestly, I am tired of giving myself and my energy to people who are only takers.
This new year will bring new opportunities, and I am so ready to fly.
I want to share with all of you that it is so important to take the time to reflect on your year, and decide what will stay and what will go. It is time to make room for new adventures, and allow the people into your circle that truly deserve and want to be there with you.
Let go of that negative energy that may be sitting heavy on your shoulders. The energy that has built up all year, needs to go!!!
Take the time, and do the work. You will be so grateful that you did.
Start off January 2023 with a new perspective, I know I will because I am so ready for something new and fresh.
I hope and pray that everyone has a safe, blessed, healthy and happy Holiday Season. Please remember to offer kindness whenever possible and acknowledge that NOT everyone will be happy. There are many people who struggle profusely during this time a year.
If you are someone who is struggling, please I encourage you to reach out for help and support. Nobody should be alone in their struggles.
On that note, God Bless you all and remember to always
