April Is Child Abuse/Sexual Abuse Awareness Month - Here Is My Blog Interview with DJ Ron Carson From WSBS Radio (Home of the Berkshires)
The month of April warrants our attention to a pair of sensitive matters that continue to remain problematic nationwide: Child abuse and sexual abuse awareness are two variables that haunt those who were profoundly affected by this type of reprehensible behavior.

Child Abuse and Sexual Abuse continue to rise in numbers and we must take a stand against these deplorable behaviors. We must step up for our youth.
Eight out of Ten children who are abused know their perpetrator. Reports continue to find that children are being abused by a family member, family friend or close acquaintance. Since the pandemic of Covid-19, the numbers have skyrocketed.
I always go back to that old saying, “See Something - Say Something” because if people continue to remain silent, nothing changes. Our youth will continue to be abused by the silent stigmas that surround them.
It is time for change! We must be aware 365 days a year. Our children our precious gifts to the world, and should be lifted up, not beaten down.
We can all do our part by practicing awareness, knowing our surroundings and ask the questions when needed. Do not be afraid to speak up because you may be saving a life!
I will continue to stand for our youth, and advocate fiercely. I am a voice for the voiceless - Please hear my words, learn about my personal story, and practice awareness.
We can change these numbers. The time is now.
